Snow Bowl –
Steamboat Springs
Snow Bowl is a restaurant and bowling alley in Steamboat Springs, Colorado that was completely renovated in 2018. With the much anticipated grand re-opening came a need for a complete rebrand. The first goal was to convince the locals of Steamboat that the once dive-y bowling establishment with sub-par bar food had been transformed into a Steamboat destination with delicious, craft food and beautifully renovated bowling lanes.
To start, the existing logo needed a redesign which brought attention to the restaurant that was now part of Snow Bowl. Everyone knew that Snow Bowl was a bowling alley. But no one realized that it was now a restaurant with a well-known chef and a destination for dining and craft food.
To get the word out, we made a huge push through local print advertisements in tourism magazines (something still prevalent in this smaller mountain town of tourists), social media and also a grassroots approach. We worked with local hotels and tourism companies to spread the word by delivering grand opening packages and flyers.
Snow Bowl was now on the map not only for bowling — it was a destination for families and friends to get together for happy hour, great food, fun and even outdoor concerts. Ads were created to deliver this message quickly with vibrant imagery and catchy headlines.
From there, all collateral was created to support Snow Bowl’s message while keeping the new brand look cohesive: menu and T-shirt designs, website design, table tents, signage, flyers, and branding for special events and their loyalty program.
