These stand-up in-store signage pieces were designed for a retailer-wide sales event. Rent-A-Center’s company tagline is “Yeah, you can do that." This means that at Rent-A-Center, a customer can have the piece of furniture they want right then because of the affordable monthly rent-to-own plans offered. In the signage, I developed a campaign headline which played off of the main company tagline: “You don’t like to hear ‘no’ either.” Pets and children were featured on the life-sized standup cardboard cut outs and would be positioned throughout the store on couches or standing on tables to give the allusion that the children or pets were actually standing/sitting on furniture where they weren't normally allowed to be. Rent-A-Center’s target demographic, people with families, could identify with the funny, real-life situational references this gave as they saw these strategically placed on furniture in the store.
